Designed in-house and first offered in 2023, the Hug Ring has grown into one of our most recognized pieces — and with that visibility has come a growing number of imitations, deceptive listings, and sellers misrepresenting copied designs using stolen imagery.

The Original Design
The Hug Ring was designed by Viktorias to carry a specific feeling: the quiet warmth of hands wrapped around yours. Every element of the design — including the finger proportions, knuckle definition, and the way the hands wrap rather than simply rest — was developed and refined in-house. This is not a generic hugging hands ring. The detail in the fingers is the most visible point of difference: authentic Viktorias Hug Rings show natural knuckle definition and a realistic taper from base to fingertip. Imitations typically feature flattened, simplified, or abstracted fingers where this detail has been lost or omitted.
Physical Markers of Authenticity
Every authentic Viktorias Hug Ring carries the following:
- Viktorias stamp — engraved on the inside of the band
- Hallmark — confirming precious metal standards, present on fine material pieces
These markers are permanent and verifiable on the ring itself. The Viktorias stamp is present on every piece. If your ring does not carry it, it is not an authentic Viktorias Hug Ring.
The Only Hug Ring in Fine Materials
Viktorias is the only source for the Hug Ring in fine materials. Available in sterling silver, gold vermeil, solid yellow gold, and solid white gold — each option is produced to the same design standard and carries the same hallmark. No other seller, marketplace, or supplier is authorized to offer the Hug Ring in these materials. Listings that appear to replicate the design at significantly lower price points are not produced to the same standard and are not affiliated with Viktorias.
How to Identify a Fake Listing
Common indicators that a listing is not selling an authentic Viktorias Hug Ring:

- Misrepresented materials — claims of gold or silver construction at prices inconsistent with fine material production
- No brand marking — listings that cannot confirm a stamp or hallmark on the ring itself
- Simplified finger detail — product images showing flat or stylized hands without knuckle definition
